BARBEQUE GRILL BY ATITHI

Making its foray into the world of barbeques, Hotel Atithi, Guwahati launched its new venture with a bang. Barbeque Grill by Atithi is nothing less than a gastronomical delight that is sure to take you on a food ride.

Barbecue is one of the world’s oldest cooking methods and trust me, with gorgeously tender meat and flavourful smoky vegetables, people want it all the time!

It was a grand launch of the Barbeque Grill by Atithi, the third barbeque restaurant in Guwahati after Barbeque Nation & Absolute Barbeque. The stage was set, all decked up and I was too invited for the launch party. Everything was put in to place perfectly to make it a memorable dining experience; and I must say it was a great night. Right from the Master Chef Naushad Ali, all the way from Lucknow, to the staff and the music, the night seemed to be exciting.

THE STARTERS
I started my 3-course meal, with a mocktail (beer and wine was also being served) and quickly gorged on to some starters. On the menu was Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Lucknowi Kebab, Paneer Tikka, BBQ Churrasco Pineapple, Mushroom Kebab, Barbeque Chicken, Chilly Chicken and the famous Lucknowi Galouti Kebab. The tender and the juicy meat, what many restaurants lack in, was perfectly put up by Barbeque Grill by Atithi.  The softness and the way the starters were melting in the mouth was surely a gastronomical delight.

THE MAIN COURSE
In these type of restaurants, the starters are actually the Main course, with most people feasting on the starters and completely ignoring the main course or eating sparingly. The same happened with me too. I was so much engrossed in the meaty affair, that I almost ignored the main course. However, I gorged on some of the delicacies.

The main course consisted of Hakka Noodle, Chilly Garlic Mushroom, Biryani - both the veg and non-veg - lentils along with a choice of Rotis and Naan, Chicken Butter Masala, Mutton Poko (a mutton preparation without onion & garlic), Mutton Korma (let me tell you, this is the best I had till now in Guwahati), Mix Veg, and a few more delicacies which I cannot recall now, as I could not eat.

THE DESSERT
If you have a sweet tooth, you will definitely be tempted to binge on some awesome desserts that the restaurant serves up. I started with the traditional and famous Indian dessert Gulab Jamun and moved on to savor some really cool Cheese Cakes, Walnut Brownie Pudding and Ice Cream. I further indulged my plate with generous helpings of pastries and Kesari Phirni, which again is again a blessing to human race.

With a well-mannered and cheerful staff, Barbeque Grill by Atithi has a very friendly atmosphere. The Barbeque area can well accommodate at least 35-40 people. The best part of the restaurant is they serve a new menu every day. Isn't it wonderful?

So, step away from the burgers, put down the sausages and dive in head-first to a tasty way to approach or winter!
